Yuushi Inaba, a year-old boy whose parents died three years ago. He moved into his uncle's house, but resolved to move into a dormitory in high school. Plans changed when that dormitory burned down. He eventually finds a cheap apartment, but discovers too late that the apartment is home to supernatural creatures such as ghosts, youkai, and mononoke, and his daily life becomes embroiled in the eccentric apartment.

Inaba Yuushi's parents died in his first year of middle school, and he moved in with his relatives. Though they did care for him, he could tell he was a burden. After he graduated, he happily prepared to move to a high school with a dormitory. Unfortunately, the dormitory burned to the ground before he could move in!

It concluded in with a total of 10 volumes and 1 side stories compilation volume. Kadokawa Bunko later republished the series in until with renewed art. So far, 18 volumes have been released. Tomomi Shimazaki designed the characters for animation.
